The civil engineering curriculum at Mines Paris – PSL includes 4 internship periods:
- 1st year internship: 4-week internship in May.
- Engineering internship in 2nd year: 4-month internship abroad, from early May to late August.
- Internship abroad during the gap year: students can choose to do an internship abroad between years 2 and 3.
- Optional internship in 3rd year: internship starting in March, linked to the chosen option.

In addition to entering your offers on the internships and jobs platform (address above), you can, if the subject lends itself to it, propose elective internships directly to the teachers in charge.
- Complementary internship for “Voie Spécialisée” students (around 50 per year): for these students who choose Mines Paris – PSL as their “école d’application”, a second internship is required to complete the “option work”, over a period from July to December.
The Specialized Master’s curriculum also includes 6 months of work experience in a company, from March to around summer.
Premium Internship Programme
In order to respond proactively to the specific recruitment needs of our partners, Mines Paris – PSL has developed a “premium internship” programme. This initiative gives our partners privileged access to our talent, while offering a selection of 10-15% of our students stimulating and rewarding opportunities for their professional development.
CIFRE offers for PhDs
The CIFRE program enables companies to carry out a research program by recruiting a PhD student in conjunction with a research team at Mines Paris – PSL. A three-year permanent or fixed-term contract is signed between the company and the PhD student.
Work-study programs at Mines Paris – PSL
- Our engineering cycle in the field of energy can be completed through continuing education or apprenticeship.
- 5 of our Specialized Masters can be taken through apprenticeship or professionalization contracts.
