Graduate Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IHEIE)
Founded in 2016 within Mines Paris – PSL, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (IHEIE) is a platform dedicated to research, education, and project development focused on the major challenges of innovation and impact entrepreneurship. Drawing on the expertise of Mines Paris – PSL and the laboratories of PSL University, the IHEIE supports public and private stakeholders in understanding the scientific, technological, economic, and societal transformations that shape innovation ecosystems.
Research
The IHEIE conducts research on the dynamics of innovation, scientific entrepreneurship, digital transformation, foresight, and the anthropology of organizations.
Its research produces analyses and insights designed to inform the decisions of businesses, public institutions, and innovation stakeholders.
Training Courses
IHEIE designs training programs for executives, managers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and professionals seeking to develop a deep understanding of innovation ecosystems.
Its offerings focus in particular on the challenges of deep-tech entrepreneurship, transitions, digital transformation, and leadership in innovative organizations, through degree and certificate programs as well as Executive Education programs.
Projects
The Institute conducts applied research and innovation projects in partnership with companies and public institutions to support major contemporary transitions.
Its initiatives include the Data Lab, dedicated to exploratory artificial intelligence projects; the Red Team Defense, which uses foresight to anticipate future threats; and Zenon, a think tank focused on innovation and foresight.
Ecosystem
The IHEIE is part of an international network that brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, public and private decision-makers, experts, and alumni.
This ecosystem fosters collaboration between academic research, businesses, and institutions to accelerate the development of innovations that address society’s major challenges.
