Sponsorship and chairs
The maintenance of excellence at Mines Paris – PSL and the pursuit of innovation in higher education and research depend to a large extent on financial support, which is why sponsorship, whether from a private individual or a company, is so important. The Mines Paris – PSL Chairs play a central role in this respect. They aim for academic excellence in research and teaching, while seeking to innovate for the benefit of all.
The objectives of the Chairs are ambitious, seeking to develop teaching in emerging fields within the courses offered by the school, to conduct high-level research programs, and to encourage exchanges and synergies between academic and industrial partners. These Chairs, managed by the school’s research centers in collaboration with other schools or research organizations, include one or more industrial partners.
By providing financial support for these chairs, corporate philanthropy contributes directly to the ambitious objectives of Mines Paris – PSL in terms of innovation, research and academic excellence.
Sponsored research focuses on more upstream subjects, unlike the industrial chairs, which tackle more applied themes in areas of interest to the companies funding them.
