Grants and assistance for student mobility

Plusieurs possibilités de financement sont offertes aux élèves souhaitant effectuer une partie de leur cursus à l’étranger.

The Mines Paris – PSL International Relations Department manages the following programmes:

  • Erasmus+ grants
  • IDF mobility grants
  • FITEC scholarships – Latin America

Erasmus+ grants

Erasmus+ grants are intended for students undertaking a period of Erasmus+ mobility abroad, including periods of work experience abroad as well as periods of academic mobility (“study”).

For the period 2022-2027, the grant rate for the Erasmus+ programme is as follows:

Erasmus+ study grant

They may be awarded to students spending a semester at a European partner university of Mines Paris – PSL.

  • Group 1 (Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom): €310/month
  • Group 2 (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain): €260/month
  • Group 3 (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey): €200/month

Erasmus+ internship grant

They may also be awarded to students undertaking a work placement in a European country, provided that the placement is low-paid or unpaid (remuneration of less than 600 euros).

  • Group 1 (Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, United Kingdom): €460/month
  • Group 2 (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain): €410/month
  • Group 3 (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey): €350/month

Two new priorities

Two new priorities have been added to the implementation of the Erasmus 2021/2027 programme:

Inclusive Erasmus+

The programme aims to develop equal opportunities, inclusion and diversity for people who have fewer opportunities because of their age, cultural, social and economic background, disability, origin or where they live (isolated areas);

A financial supplement of €250 per month will be paid to students meeting various criteria, which you can find out more about here.

Sustainable Erasmus+

The environment and the fight against climate change are key political priorities for the EU. The European Green Pact sets Europe the objective of “going further by becoming the first climate-neutral continent” and “reducing emissions by at least 55% by 2030”. To this end, it stresses the key role of schools, training establishments and universities in raising awareness and educating pupils, students and parents about sustainable development. So when you use an eco-responsible means of transport (car-pooling, train, bus, etc.), you will be entitled to a lump sum of 50 euros for your journey and from 1 to 4 additional days.

All applications for Erasmus+ study and/or work placement grants should be sent to the International Relations Department (international@minesparis.psl.eu) following the procedure indicated:

  • Before 15 June for 1st half-year departures
  • Before 15 January for departures in the 2nd half-year

IDF mobility grants

Ile-de-France mobility grants are awarded on the basis of social criteria (family income of the tax household less than or equal to €19,190) and on the basis of a proposal from Mines Paris – PSL. These grants are for exchange stays and internships and cover all destinations.

Île-de-France mobility grants

FITEC – Latin America

The FITEC programmes, managed by the CDEFI, aim to promote the mobility of students and teachers in the field of engineering sciences with Argentina (ARFITEC) and Brazil (BRAFITEC). Country-specific aid may be granted to students on a study or research visit to one of Mines Paris – PSL’s partner universities.
