Chairs
Chairs at Mines Paris – PSL aim for academic excellence in research and teaching, and innovation for all. A Chair is a project supported by the School’s research centers, possibly in association with other schools or research organizations, and includes one or more industrial partners.

The aim of the chairs is threefold:
1.
To develop courses in applications of interest to companies, within the courses offered at Mines Paris – PSL
2.
An ambitious research programme
3.
Encouraging exchanges and synergies between academic and industrial partners
Corporate funding enables research and training projects to be rolled out over 4 or 5 years (renewable), with a team generally comprising a renowned professor, research associates and doctoral students.
The ANR industrial chairs provide a favourable framework for broad scientific developments, while aiming for significant spin-offs for industry. In the case of sponsorship chairs, supported by the Fondation Mines Paris, public ownership of the results guarantees the dissemination of knowledge to the socio-economic world at a national and even international level, as well as greater commercial value.
Mines Paris – PSL has created or renewed 39 chairs since 2006, 22 of which are currently active.
