Specialized Master’s Degree in Renewable Energies (ENR)

Created in 2022, the Mines Paris – PSL Specialized Master in Renewable Energy (ENR) is part of a unique European project: the European Master in Renewable Energy, founded and coordinated by EUREC, the association of European renewable energy research centers. This post-Master’s program, open to engineers with a Bac+5 degree, aims to provide high-level technical specialization in solar, wind and marine renewable energies and their hybridization, as well as their integration into power grids.

Training on a European scale

International agreements on the reduction of CO2 emissions and European directives on the expansion of renewable energy production point to continued recent growth in renewable energy installations. Skills shortages in this sector have already been identified, and the expected increase will only exacerbate the situation. Within Europe’s booming renewable energy industry, there is an urgent demand for more post-graduate trained personnel specializing in renewable energy technology.

The Mastère ENR Mines Paris – PSL offers students the opportunity to train at several European universities, spread over three semesters:

A core semester, available at the Mines Paris – PSL campus in Sophia Antipolis.
A semester of specialization (in English) at one of the partner universities:
– Photovoltaics – University of Northumbria, UK
– Wind Energy – National Technical University of Athens, Greece
– Grid Integration – University of Zaragoza, Spain
– Solar thermal energy – University of Perpignan, France
– Marine energy – IST Lisbon, Portugal
– Biofuels – Hanze UAS in the Netherlands
A six-month professional assignment in a company or research laboratory. The assignment culminates in the writing of a professional thesis, which is defended before a jury.

Thanks to its European dimension, the ENR Master’s program helps students develop intercultural skills and opens doors to international companies.
