Mines Paris – PSL invites you to the conference “Le Code a changé? Our lives in the age of algorithms” with Aurélie Jean, on November 7, 2024 on the Paris campus.

A meeting with Aurélie Jean (Docteur 2009), Doctor of Science, entrepreneur and author, specialist in algorithmic modeling, she will present her background, her work on algorithms and their uses in contemporary society.


The conference will include a book signing for the author’s two latest books, Le code a changé: Amour et sexualité au temps des algorithmes and Les Algorithmes, published by “Que sais-je?

About Aurélie Jean


After a thesis at CMAT, supervised by Dominique Jeulin and Samuel Forest, Aurélie Jean has been working for nearly twenty years in algorithmic modeling applied to a wide range of fields. Aurélie lives and works between the USA and France, where she divides her time between consulting, R&D, writing and continuing education. In 2016, she founded an algorithmic and data consulting and development agency. She also runs a deep tech startup in artificial intelligence in the field of early breast cancer detection. Aurélie is a guest researcher at the Hult Business School and for The Digital Economist. Aurélie is the author of several best-selling essays and a columnist for several media.
