“Romance in the Stone” exhibition | 3 questions for Éloïse Gaillou, director of the Mineralogy Museum
This exhibition offers a unique dialogue between the museum’s mineral treasures and the artistic creations of 13 artists who have won the Matière(s) grant from the Verrecchia Endowment Fund. Colors, shapes, textures: each work resonates with the raw material to explore the encounter between arts and sciences.
In this interview, Éloïse Gaillou, director of the museum, answers three questions: – Why include an art exhibition in a science museum? – How did the collaboration with the Verrecchia Fund come about? – What makes these works so fascinating, between art and science?
