Mines Paris – PSL at the heart of digital transformation
As part of the Summit for Action on AI 2025, on February 8 Mines Paris – PSL is hosting the Tournées de l’Excellence Génération IA, an event dedicated to middle and high school students to better understand Artificial Intelligence, its uses and its challenges. It’s an opportunity for the School to reaffirm its key role in the evolution of AI technologies and their impact on society, notably through its Institute for Digital Transformations (ITN) and the involvement of its research centers.
On the occasion of the Summit for Action on AI 2025, which will bring together leaders and experts from around the world in Paris, Mines Paris – PSL is mobilizing to host, on February 8, the Tournées de l’Excellence Génération IA. This event, aimed at secondary school students, will provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of Artificial Intelligence, its applications and its limits.
For Mines Paris – PSL, this event is an opportunity to highlight its major role in digital transformations, by placing itself at the forefront of the technological and scientific developments redefining our society.
Through a solid academic base and strong industrial partnerships, its 18 research centers leverage artificial intelligence technologies to address industrial and socio-economic challenges. Relying on robust mathematical and scientific foundations, we accelerate and amplify the transition from innovation to industrialization, while promoting a responsible and ethical approach to new technologies.

For almost a week, from February 6, 2025, Paris will host numerous events aimed at strengthening international action in favor of artificial intelligence serving the general interest. The week will include scientific days, a cultural weekend, an international summit at the Grand Palais, numerous parallel events, and a business day.
CEMEF, the School’s materials shaping research center, is one of three institutes in the PRAIRIE program selected to present a scientific poster. This work, entitled From Medical Imaging to Risk Prediction in 1 Minute vs. 24 Hours Using a Single A100 GPU, illustrates the potential of AI to transform medical image analysis by dramatically reducing computation times. This selection testifies to the expertise of Mines Paris – PSL in the development of innovative digital tools applied to major issues such as healthcare, confirming its key role in the evolution of AI technologies and their societal impact.
