Chairs and sponsorship
Mines Paris – PSL fosters close partnerships with companies, foundations, and public entities to support its missions in education, research, and innovation.
Endowed chairs and corporate philanthropy are two complementary forms of engagement that make it possible to support projects of public interest, generate new knowledge, and address major scientific, industrial, and societal challenges.
Chairs
Building lasting collaborations around projects of excellence
Led by the School’s research centers—and potentially in partnership with other schools or research organizations—a chair involves one or more industrial partners. These chairs aim to advance knowledge in emerging fields, conduct cutting-edge research, and foster synergies between academic and industrial partners.
Mines Paris – PSL has established or renewed 39 chairs since 2006; 18 are currently active.
Endowed Chairs
Supporting Projects of Public Interest
Endowed chairs rely on the support of partners committed to a scientific or educational program. They enable the development of long-term research, support student education, and foster the emergence of new initiatives within a philanthropic framework.
Industrial Chairs
Building Collaborative Research Programs
Industrial chairs bring together Mines Paris – PSL and one or more companies around a joint research program. They foster scientific collaboration, the development of new technologies, and the transfer of knowledge to the socio-economic sector.
