Welcome to the Mines Paris – PSL guide for admitted students.

This page is updated regularly and contains all the essential information you need to prepare for the 2025 Mines-Ponts Joint Entrance Exam (CCMP) oral exams and learn more about the School. We hope it will answer your questions and help you approach this decisive stage with confidence and peace of mind.

Oral sessions

2025 oral exam schedule

Eligible candidates are divided into several teams of examiners and several series, with each series corresponding to one week of oral exams.

For the MP, PC, and PSI programs, the dates for the four series in 2025 are as follows:

  • Series 1: Monday, June 23, 2025, to Sunday, June 29, 2025
  • Series 2: Monday, June 30, 2025, to Sunday, July 6, 2025
  • Series 3: Monday, July 7, 2025 to Sunday, July 13, 2025
  • Series 4: Monday, July 14, 2025 to Saturday, July 19, 2025

For the MPI program, the dates for the three series in 2025 are as follows:

  • Series 1: Monday, June 23, 2025 to Sunday, June 29, 2025
  • Series 2: Monday, June 30, 2025 to Sunday, July 6, 2025
  • Series 3: Monday, July 7, 2025 to Sunday, July 13, 2025

The series and locations of the oral exams are assigned only to eligible candidates and will be available on the official website of the Concours Commun Mines-Ponts (CCMP).

Individual invitations to the admission exams are not sent to each candidate. The dates, times, and locations can be found on the website every Thursday at 4 p.m. prior to the week of the oral exams.

Admission results

The ranking lists and oral exam scores for all series, established after deliberation by the jury, will be published on the website and can be viewed using your personal login details:

Candidates should refer to the CCMP’s 2025 regulations for details of the format and nature of the oral admission tests, which will take place at CCMP schools in the Paris region.

Oral exams at Mines Paris – PSL

Mines Paris – PSL organizes oral exams for candidates in four subjects: Mathematics, Physics, French, and English. Three teams of examiners will be present at the school to conduct these interviews. In addition, Mines Paris – PSL welcomes all students for the Industrial Sciences practical work.

Practical information

Access to the school

The École nationale supérieure des mines de Paris – PSL is located at 60 boulevard Saint-Michel, 75006 Paris.

It is accessible by public transport:

  • RER B – Luxembourg station
  • Metro line 4 – Odéon station

Luggage

A secure room will be available:

  • on the school premises,
  • as well as at the MEUH residence,
  • so that candidates can store their luggage in complete peace of mind.

Food

There are several options available for meals:

  • Lunch: the Crous de Port-Royal university restaurant is about a ten-minute walk away (39 avenue Georges Bernanos 75005 Paris, open to all students Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.).
  • Evening: there are many restaurants on Place de la Contrescarpe, close to the MEUH residence.
  • The MEUH rooms are also equipped with hotplates, a microwave and an oven, allowing you to prepare meals on site.

Accommodation for eligible candidates during the examinations

At the Maison des Mines et des Ponts

At Mines Paris – PSL, all first-year engineering students can benefit from a room at the Maison des Mines et des Ponts (informally known as La Meuh), which promotes cohesion within the class and facilitates involvement in student life.

During the competitive entrance exams, the Maison des Mines welcomes preparatory students who can demonstrate a need for accommodation, subject to availability, in order to facilitate their stay during this period.

The House welcomes four groups of eligible students, from Sunday to Sunday, according to the following schedule:

  • From June 22 to June 29: 100 students
  • From June 29 to July 6: 100 students
  • From July 6 to July 13: 100 students
  • From July 13 to July 20: approximately 30 students

For a 7-night stay, the rates are as follows:

  • Single room: $55 per night
  • Double room: $45 per night

L’Abatage

The student brochure

L’Abatage is a presentation brochure created by students who share everything you need to know about student life at Mines Paris – PSL.

L’Abatage (or abattage since 1935) is actually the name of a mining technique that involves extracting rock from a wall. A nice name that is perfectly suited to the Mines alpha brochure!
