Mines Paris – PSL celebrates the class of 2024–2025 in its Specialized Master’s Programs and Specialized Training Programs
The Class of 2024–2025 brings together graduates from 13 Specialized Master’s programs and one Specialized Training program, reflecting the diversity of expertise developed at Mines Paris – PSL:
Accredited by the Conférence des grandes écoles, these programs welcome a diverse range of participants each year: recent graduates, professionals seeking career advancement, senior executives, and international students. They all shared a common goal: to develop high-value-added skills directly aligned with the needs of businesses and major contemporary transformations.
The ceremony began in the Poincaré Amphitheater, presided over by Godefroy Beauvallet, the School’s Director General. He praised the graduates’ commitment, success, and diverse backgrounds, highlighting the essential role of Specialized Master’s programs and Specialized Training in supporting the major transformations organizations face today—whether industrial, digital, energy-related, or environmental.
True to the spirit of the School, he also framed his remarks around the theme of memory by referring to the Bergbüchlein, the “Little Book of Hills,” the oldest work preserved at Mines Paris. This first-ever printed treatise on mining already brought together the most advanced scientific theories of its time and the most superstitious beliefs—such as the idea that slopes illuminated by the moon concealed silver. A way of reminding us that we never know what we don’t yet know, and that learning doesn’t stop with a diploma.
The event took place in the presence of program directors, the Mines Paris Foundation, represented by its president Marc Fossier, and the Mines Paris Alumni network, represented by Théophile Cantelobre, who spoke alongside the faculty to support and celebrate this new graduating class.
The presentation of diplomas and awards was a highlight of the ceremony, recognizing the work accomplished by the students and the dedication of the teaching and administrative staff throughout their academic journey.
The day continued with a reception held in the Espace Maurice Allais and on the School’s terrace. This convivial gathering allowed graduates, families, faculty, and partners to continue their conversations.
Mines Paris – PSL’s Specialized Master’s programs are built on an educational approach that combines academic excellence, applied research, and professional immersion. Each program integrates theoretical instruction, group projects, expert lectures, and internships in companies or laboratories, culminating in a professional thesis.
This approach trains specialists capable of supporting the industrial, environmental, and digital transformations organizations face today.
Supported by the School’s research centers and a close-knit network of academic and industrial partners, these programs rely on strong interaction between education and the socio-economic world.
