The Salle des Colonnes, an emblematic large room with a surface area of 127 m2, is distinguished by its cast-iron columns dating from the 1840s, remnants of the expansion work carried out by the architect Duquesney. Offering a breathtaking view of the garden and the possibility of glimpsing the Eiffel Tower, it is the perfect embodiment of 19thᵉ century architecture.
Designed as a place of pomp and meeting, the room displays fossils and scientific instruments in period wooden wall cabinets. Today, it hosts courses, official events and concerts.
