ARMINES
ARMINES participates in the partnership research of Mines Paris – PSL by contributing its own resources (human and material) to the centres shared with the School and manages them on a contractual basis.

Anticipating business needs
ARMINES contributes €27.3m of the School’s €70m research budget. 258 of its employees also work in the Mines Paris-PSL laboratories and services. The Mines Paris – PSL – ARMINES ‘model’ has enabled the research centres to develop an original ‘identity’ that is unique in France, based on a form of research in which the scientific approach is constantly confronted in practical terms with industrial, economic and societal issues.
Today, after more than 57 years of existence, in a constrained and changing environment, the quasi-regiment ARMINES is working with Mines Paris – PSL to anticipate the evolution of ‘partnership’ research, which in the future will require a high level of scientific creativity and results that are increasingly directly usable by economic players. This approach will rely increasingly on Transvalor, ARMINES’ maturation and valorisation subsidiary.
