Biography
Sandrine Selosse is a researcher specializing in the analysis of energy systems and transitions toward a low-carbon economy. Her work focuses on prospective modeling and the optimization of energy scenarios, with a strong expertise in evaluating decarbonization technologies, such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) solutions. Her research also addresses regional challenges, particularly in the MENA region and isolated or island territories, integrating technical, economic, and political dimensions. She explores the interactions between energy systems, natural resources (biomass, water), and climate goals while analyzing the impacts of public policies and geographical constraints on the feasibility of transitions. Her methodological approach relies on bottom-up modeling tools, such as the TIAM-FR model, to assess sectoral and global decarbonization trajectories.
