Biography
Renaud Coulomb is a researcher whose work focuses on environmental economics, energy policy analysis, and the interactions between regulation, markets, and economic behavior. His research addresses, in particular, the challenges of decarbonization by assessing the social and environmental costs associated with the extraction and use of fossil fuels, as well as mechanisms for optimizing energy transitions. He also explores the effects of exogenous shocks, such as environmental risks, on real estate dynamics and spatial inequalities, taking into account structural rigidities such as population mobility. Furthermore, his work includes the study of the economic determinants of deviant behavior, particularly the impact of political connections on financial practices, illustrating a multidisciplinary approach to incentives and regulations.
