Biography

Pierre Rouchon is a researcher whose work focuses on the theory and control of open quantum systems, with particular expertise in quantum reservoir engineering and dissipative stabilization. His research addresses central issues in quantum information, such as autonomous error correction, the modeling of Lindblad master equations, and adiabatic elimination for the reduction of complex models. In particular, he explores stabilization mechanisms for topological qubits (such as *cat qubits* or GKP states) via dissipative dynamics, combining theoretical approaches with numerical simulations. His contributions also include innovative methods for optimal control, real-time quantum measurement, and the analysis of quantum trajectories under continuous observation, with experimental applications in superconducting circuits and nonlinear oscillators.
