Biography

Panagiotis Andrianesis is a researcher specializing in smart grid systems and power distribution networks. His work focuses primarily on the integration of distributed energy resources (DERs), the optimization of direct current (MVDC) and alternating current (AC) power grids, and the modeling of electricity markets under technical and economic constraints. His expertise includes the development of advanced optimization methods, such as mixed-integer linear programming (MILP) and robust optimization, applied to problems such as congestion management, the resilience of energy forecasts in the face of missing data, and the integration of electric vehicles and port infrastructure into power grids. His research also extends to the analysis of marginal rental costs (DLMC) and the valuation of energy assets, with a focus on techno-economic solutions for grid operators and market participants.
