Biography
Matthieu Glachant is a researcher whose work focuses on environmental policy, technological innovation, and the energy transition. His research addresses topics such as the effectiveness of regulatory mechanisms, the impact of climate policies on the behavior of households and businesses, and the dynamics of low-carbon technology diffusion. His expertise includes the analysis of economic instruments—such as subsidies, carbon taxes, and energy-saving certificates—and their role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Glachant has also studied the distributional effects of energy policies, particularly their impact on low-income households, as well as intellectual property issues related to the international transfer of green technologies.
