Biography

Mathilde Marchand-Lasserre is a researcher specializing in the environmental assessment of energy and agricultural systems, with significant expertise in life cycle assessment (LCA). Her work focuses in particular on agrivoltaics, where she studies the synergies between photovoltaic power generation and agriculture, as well as their environmental performance under various technological and climatic conditions. She has developed parameterized LCA models to assess the impact of these hybrid systems, incorporating agronomic, economic, and energy dimensions. Her research also extends to the end-of-life management of emerging photovoltaic technologies, such as perovskite/silicon tandem modules, where she analyzes methodological approaches for modeling recycling and their implications for environmental outcomes. More recently, her work has explored the links between climatic factors and epidemiological dynamics, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
