Biography

Maroun Nemer is a researcher specializing in energy systems and sustainable mobility, with significant expertise in optimizing the performance of electric and hybrid vehicles. His work focuses on the impact of environmental conditions—particularly temperature variations—on the energy efficiency, range, and thermal management of electric vehicles. He has contributed to the development of advanced numerical models, such as simulations incorporating thermodynamic cycles, thermal management systems (TMS), and powertrain architectures, validated by experimental data from platforms such as Autonomie Software or test benches at Argonne National Laboratory. His research also addresses broader issues, such as the life-cycle analysis of ships and the optimization of energy storage systems, by combining energy modeling with environmental assessment. His methodological approach combines experimental rigor with innovation in dynamic simulation, aiming to propose technically viable solutions to the challenges of the energy transition in transportation.
