Biography

Eric Rigaud is a researcher whose work centers on two major themes: the resilience of socio-technical systems and the development of psychomotor skills aided by intelligent technologies. His research on resilience focuses in particular on risk management and safety challenges in cross-border or urban contexts, incorporating multidisciplinary approaches such as resilience engineering and multi-agent systems. He has contributed to the development of methodological frameworks for assessing and strengthening organizations’ adaptive capacities in critical situations, drawing on performance indicators and modeling tools. At the same time, Eric Rigaud is exploring the application of intelligent tutoring systems (ITS) to the field of psychomotor skills, with a focus on personalizing learning based on physiological characteristics, particularly those related to sexual dimorphism. His work in this field—such as the development of the *Selfit* platform and the *OntoStrength* ontology—aims to optimize the acquisition and maintenance of motor skills while preventing the risk of injury, by combining artificial intelligence, computer vision, and knowledge modeling.
