Student Testimonials

Faustine and Alison with Campus Channel

In this 2025 interview, Civil Engineering students Faustine Lafitte (first-year) and Alison Profit (third-year) share their experiences at Mines Paris – PSL. Joined by Matthieu Mazière, Director of Academic Affairs, they answer questions from journalist Guillaume Puchercos about the School, student life, admissions, the curriculum, and career opportunities.

The Civil Engineering Program

Designed to keep pace with the times

The Civil Engineering program at Mines Paris – PSL is built on a foundation of scientific and educational excellence, designed to train engineers capable of thriving in complex and rapidly changing environments.

Beyond its academic structure, the program is committed to continuous improvement. Its curriculum and teaching methods are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain aligned with scientific, technological, and societal developments, as well as with the expectations of students and the socio-economic world.

This approach is supported by periods of collective reflection involving students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The quality of an engineering program depends as much on the strength of its fundamentals as on its ability to evolve over time. That is why, in 2026, a dedicated hackathon brought these perspectives together and identified avenues for curriculum development, which will inform the program’s gradual adjustments beginning in 2027.
