Forum – Taking inspiration from Nature: what are the prospects for the transition?

Ecological transition
3 June

Taking inspiration from nature to meet environmental challenges is an approach that is increasingly being discussed in academic, institutional and political circles. Among these approaches, the concept of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) is attracting growing interest in national and international governance bodies.

As part of its 3rd Forum, the TTI.5 team invites you to a day of reflection and discussion to better understand the contours of this concept.

Beyond its potential for the mitigation, adaptation and protection of biodiversity, this concept crystallises operational and technological issues (implementation, impacts, scientific innovation, financing) as well as ethical, philosophical and societal issues (rights of local communities, relationship with nature, rights of nature, geopolitical power struggles).

This day will therefore be an opportunity to explore these issues through different perspectives and critical analyses, as well as to discover concrete examples of projects implementing these solutions.

The themes of forests, oceans and water will be in the spotlight.
