19 March

ISIGE is organizing a film-debate on Tuesday March 19 at 6:30pm at Mines Paris – PSL.

Theme:

As part of its “Changer d’échelle” module, the Mastère Spécialisé EEDD IGE students invite you to attend a screening of the film Low-Tech, directed by Adrien Bellay in 2023.

The screening will be followed by a debate with Florence Drouet, engineer and researcher at Campus de la Transition, protagonist of the film, and Morgan Meyer, research director at CNRS – Centre national de la recherche scientifique and researcher at the Centre de Sociologie de l’Innovation at Mines Paris – PSL.

🎬 Synopsis At a time when our societies are tipping into unprecedented disorder and relying heavily on technology, some are choosing to invest in a sober dynamic: lowtech.

This ecological approach consists in designing and disseminating useful, sustainable techniques and know-how that are accessible to all. The film goes to meet these citizens who are fighting to democratize such an approach.

Young engineers, farmers or entrepreneurs, these pioneers repair their everyday machines, supply themselves with energy or manufacture their own means of production…. and perhaps give us a glimpse of what the world of tomorrow might be like.
