Carreau space

An emblematic space on the campus, the Carreau combines history and modernity. Built in the 1860s, the Carreau has had many lives: as a cloakroom, a disciplinary office, and then as a place of passage and exchange. Completely refurbished in 2023 on the initiative of the engineering students, it now combines durable furniture with strong artistic touches, such as an Art Nouveau fresco and a striking contemporary work. A space steeped in memory, now a lively and inspiring place, ideal for hosting your events.

Description

Originally, this space was used as a cloakroom for students on their way to the laboratories. A witness to a bygone era, the Carreau retains its character of yesteryear while adapting to modern needs, bridging the gap between tradition and innovation in this academic environment.
