Applications for the 2027 I-BE³ Bachelor’s Program Are Now Open
Applications to join the PSL International Bachelor of Environmentally Engaged Engineering (I-BE³) are now open for the 2027 academic year. Led by Mines Paris – PSL, this international bachelor’s degree in science and engineering offers a selective program taught entirely in English, in the heart of Sophia Antipolis. Webinars are also available to help prospective students and their parents learn about the program and its curriculum, and to answer their questions.
A science education focused on contemporary issues
Over the course of three years, I-BE³ combines a solid scientific foundation in science and engineering with a teaching approach based on hands-on learning and real-world projects. Each semester, students work on issues inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, addressing major environmental, climate, and societal challenges.
The program also draws on a research and innovation environment, featuring faculty members who are active researchers and connections with academic and industrial partners.
The first two years take place on the Pierre Laffitte campus of Mines Paris – PSL in Sophia Antipolis. The third year includes an international internship and an elective track that can be completed in Sophia Antipolis or in the Île-de-France region.
Personalized Support
Throughout the program, the CARE – Coaching, Support, Remediation, Enrichment initiative supports students in their academic progress and in developing their career plans. This approach helps students strengthen their scientific skills, develop professional competencies, and gradually prepare for their future academic pursuits.
Prospects for Further Study
I-BE³ prepares students for further study in science and engineering, both in France and internationally. The Bachelor’s degree, which confers the licence degree, enables students to apply to engineering programs at Mines Paris – PSL and Chimie ParisTech – PSL, as well as to science and engineering master’s programs, particularly at PSL.

Applications for the 2027 academic year are now open on the Mines Paris – PSL application platform. French students may also apply through Parcoursup.
There are three application rounds:
- Round 1: October 1 through November 11, 2026
- Round 2: November 16, 2026, through January 10, 2027
- Round 3: January 16 through March 15, 2027
