Biography

François Lévêque is a researcher whose work focuses primarily on industrial economics, energy market regulation, and public policy analysis. His research covers a variety of topics, such as safety and compliance in the nuclear industry, the integration of European energy markets, and competitive dynamics among firms. He also explores issues related to patents and industrial standards, as well as regulatory mechanisms and their impacts on innovation and competitiveness. His analyses draw on economic models and empirical studies, often centered on concrete cases, such as energy policies in France and Europe, or standardization strategies in key sectors. His expertise covers both theoretical aspects and practical applications, particularly in the evaluation of regulatory reforms and their effects on markets.

The course addresses contemporary energy issues from two perspectives: the academic perspective, featuring presentations by leading economists specializing in the fundamentals of the oil, gas, electricity, and carbon markets; a strategic perspective, featuring talks by senior executives from energy companies on their vision and decision-making, as well as from entrepreneurs.
