A historic site

In the heart of Paris

Housed in the former Hôtel de Vendôme since 1816, Mines Paris – PSL occupies a building that is an iconic part of Paris’s heritage. Initially a tenant of part of the premises, the School became the full owner of the site in 1837, during the July Monarchy. The spaces were then gradually transformed to support the development of the institution’s scientific education, research, and activities.

Located near the Luxembourg Gardens and the major higher education institutions of the Latin Quarter, the campus benefits from an exceptional academic and cultural environment.

Today, the Paris campus is home to the School’s administration, several academic programs, research laboratories, the Library, the Mineralogy Museum, the Mines Paris Foundation, and Mines Paris Alumni.
