Tribute to Claude Riveline

On Monday 26 May from 5.30pm, the School, the Mines Paris Foundation, Mines Paris Alumni and the Amicale du Corps des Mines are co-organising an evening in tribute to Claude Riveline (1936-2024), former student, professor at the School and intellectual.
Claude Riveline influenced generations of students at the École des Mines through his intelligence, teaching skills, attentiveness and advice. He was also an important figure in the history of the School and its teaching. Head of practical work in 1963 and professor in 1967, he created one of the most popular and influential courses at the École des Mines (before it became compulsory in recent years): Cost Evaluation, which he taught until 2019.
He was also a major player in the management research community (he created the Centre de Gestion Scientifique in 1967) and a man of ideas (he was for many years one of the main organisers of the Colloque des intellectuels juifs de langue française).
We invite you to attend the tribute ceremony to Claude Riveline during an evening of testimonials and discussions.
After an introduction by Godefroy Beauvallet (Director General of Mines Paris – PSL), those who knew him in all his facets will pay tribute to him in three areas: Riveline the teacher, Riveline the researcher, and Riveline the intellectual. Films and archival documents will be shared with the audience.
The evening will take place from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in L108A (Henri Poincaré lecture theatre) and will be followed by a cocktail reception in the Maurice Allais space to continue the discussions.
Registration is free but compulsory.
The ceremony has received support from the organisers.
