Conference: ‘The impact of digital technologies on organisations’ – 26 May 2025

Les Presses des Mines, the FIT2 chair and the Mines Paris – PSL library invite you to a round table discussion on the impact of digital technologies on organisations, on Monday 26 May 2025 from 6pm to 7.30pm.
As generative AI becomes more widespread in businesses and government agencies, it is necessary to take the time to examine its deployment in fields ranging from consulting to education, including by laying the anthropological foundations for our relationship with this tool. At the same time, digital technology represents an opportunity for reinvention for the cultural and creative industries, as well as for public theatre and creative processes.
We will bring together the authors of five books published by Presses de l’Ecole to discuss these issues:
- Working with Generative AI. Office tool or game changer? A survey of consulting professions, Marie-Laure Cahier and Pierre Quesson
- Artificial intelligence and anthropomorphism. From illusion to confusion, Roxana Ologeanu-Taddei
- Working with Artificial Intelligence in the Cultural and Creative Industries. How to Apply the AI Act?, Sotiris Manitsaris, Alina Glushkova, Alexandros Spyridonos and Gavriela Senteri
- Digital Technology on Stage. Reinventing Communication in Public Theatres, Wafa Aït-Amer
- Evaluation practices and transformations, MTO Review No. 16, Bertrand Mocquet, Chrysta Pélissier and Pierre-Michel Riccio
Participants will be invited to a small cocktail reception at Espace Vendôme after the conference.
