Biographie
Franck N’Guyen est un chercheur spécialisé dans les méthodes numériques appliquées à la mécanique des matériaux et à l’analyse morphologique des structures complexes. Ses travaux se concentrent sur le développement de techniques avancées pour la modélisation géométrique et la simulation numérique, notamment à travers l’utilisation de la triangulation de Delaunay contrainte (CDT) appliquée à des images 2D et 3D de haute complexité morphologique. Ses recherches abordent également l’homogénéisation numérique des propriétés mécaniques et thermiques de matériaux composites, en intégrant des approches expérimentales, théoriques et computationnelles pour caractériser des microstructures hétérogènes, telles que les biocomposites renforcés par des particules naturelles ou les polymères chargés. Une part significative de ses contributions porte sur l’analyse des défauts et leur impact sur le comportement mécanique, en combinant des outils d’imagerie 3D (tomographie, microscopie) avec des méthodes de réduction de modèles et d’apprentissage automatique pour optimiser les prédictions de durée de vie et de résistance des matériaux sous sollicitations thermomécaniques.

Ingénierie digitale des systèmes complexes (IDSC) option
Au cours des dix dernières années, l’intelligence artificielle (IA) a profondément transformé le monde industriel en révolutionnant les méthodes de conception, d’optimisation et d’exploitation des systèmes. L’un des aspects les plus marquants de cette évolution réside dans la modélisation numérique des systèmes complexes. Traditionnellement fondée sur des méthodes à fort contenu physique ou multiphysique, elle bénéficie aujourd’hui des avancées en intelligence artificielle, notamment grâce aux algorithmes d’apprentissage automatique et de deep learning. L’option Ingénierie Digitale des Systèmes Complexes de Mines Paris vise à donner à ses étudiants des bases solides et multi-disciplinaires en IA, leur permettant de comprendre en profondeur ses applications et de les mettre en pratique sur des problématiques industrielles. Les disciplines étudiées dans l’option sont : le machine learning et ses applications dans le domaine de l’ingénierie la vision par ordinateur le calcul haute performance L’enseignement de l’option s’articule autour de trois semaines d’enseignements, complétées par deux semaines de Data challenge et une semaine de voyage d’option.
