Biographie
Brigitte D’Andréa-Novel est une chercheuse spécialisée dans le domaine de l’automatique et du contrôle des systèmes dynamiques. Ses travaux de recherche couvrent un large spectre de thématiques, incluant la commande des systèmes mécaniques non linéaires, l’application de méthodes de contrôle avancées aux véhicules autonomes et aux instruments de musique, ainsi que la modélisation et la stabilisation de systèmes hybrides PDE-ODE. Elle s’intéresse particulièrement à l’utilisation de techniques telles que le backstepping, les lois de commande par retour d’état, et les approches basées sur la platitude différentielle pour résoudre des problèmes de stabilisation en temps fini ou de suivi de trajectoire. Ses contributions incluent également des applications pratiques, comme le contrôle actif d’instruments à vent ou de percussions, ainsi que l’optimisation des performances dynamiques des véhicules en conditions réelles, notamment en présence de glissements ou de variations paramétriques.

Période d'enseignement d'option (octobre+janvier)
Mathématiques appliquées : robotique, vision, automatique (MAREVA) option
Contenu de la 2ème année Les enseignements et activités pédagogiques dispensés en seconde année sont communs à tous les élèves ayant choisi MAREVA et se déroulent à Paris. L’organisation de la période de 2ème année est centrée sur l’étude des Systèmes Complexes : systèmes dynamiques en temps discret, filtrage et identification, capteurs embarqués et fusion de données, traitement d’images et imagerie médicale. Ce bloc est complété par des conférences d'introduction à la Robotique et aux ITS, d'introduction à la réalité virtuelle et réalité augmentée, des séances de programmation en C++ et programmation graphique ainsi que des séances de mini-projets réalisés en binôme, encadrés par les chercheurs des centres et mettant en application les concepts vus en cours. Voici quelques exemples de mini-projets réalisés ces dernières années : asservissement latéral (Lane Keeping, ESP) et longitudinal d'un véhicule (ACC); asservissement par capteurs de couleurs d'une petite voiture sur ligne blanche; évaluation d’un système de capture de mouvement grand public (la Wiimote); mise en correspondance de nuages de points 3D pour cartographie numérique ; modélisation et stabilisation d’un plongeur ; édition d'image basée sur une segmentation hiérarchique ; modélisation et contrôle de grues de chantiers ; algorithmes d'estimation et de contrôle d'un robot mobile développé par SAGEM ; développement d'algorithmes de parking, validation et tests sur logiciel graphique 3D ; mise en place d'interactions homme/environnement dans une cuisine virtuelle. Contenu de la 3ème année En 3ème année, les activités du mois d'octobre restent communes. Les deux premières semaines à Paris sont consacrées à des cours notamment en vision et traitement d'images dans le contexte automobile, sur le contrôle non linéaire et ses applications en robotique, sur les robots humanoïdes, sur les systèmes à événements discrets, les systèmes à retards .... Un ES en vision et morphologie mathématique sur une semaine bloquée en novembre complète la formation des spécialités Vision et Robotique. Les deux dernières semaines d'octobre sont dédiées aux mini-projets (d’un niveau plus approfondi que ceux de 2ème année), ainsi qu'au voyage d'option durant lequel les étudiants visitent des laboratoires et des entreprises. Ces quatre dernières années le voyage a été organisé respectivement en Italie et Rhône-Alpes (STMicroelectronics, ISPRA, INRIA Rhône-Alpes, LAG ...), dans la région de Nice et Monaco (INRIA Sophia-Antipolis, Thalès Alénia Space, musée des automates ...), en Allemagne à Stuttgart et Munich (Bosch, Mercedes, German Aerospace ...), à Toulouse (CNES, LAAS, Laboratoires Pierre Fabre ...), à Bordeaux (LABRI, LAPS, Laser MégaJoule, Thalès, EvTronic, BeTomorrow ...). Ces voyages sont de bonnes occasions de nouer des contacts intéressants pour les stages d’option en 3ème année. Les sujets de stage pour la 3ème année sont mutualisés et proposés indifféremment par les enseignants chercheurs de différents centres de mathématiques appliquées de l’école (CAOR, CAS, CMA, CMM) souvent en relation avec leurs activités en partenariat avec les industriels. Notons que chaque année, le nombre de stages proposés est largement supérieur au nombre d’optionnaires ! C’est un excellent moyen d’approfondir et d’appliquer les notions déclinées en cours mais aussi une très bonne occasion de rencontrer les chercheurs des différents laboratoires de l’école et de toucher à une première expérience, même limitée, dans le milieu de la recherche.
