Biographie

Jérôme Corvisier est un chercheur spécialisé dans les interactions fluides-roches et les processus géochimiques associés aux contextes de stockage géologique, notamment du CO₂ et des déchets radioactifs. Ses travaux s’articulent autour de la modélisation numérique des réactions hydrogéochimiques, du transport réactif multiphasique et des équilibres thermodynamiques en milieux poreux. Ses recherches couvrent des thématiques telles que l’intégrité des roches de couverture (caprocks), la durabilité des matériaux cimentaires sous attaque sulfatique, ou encore l’impact des impuretés co-injectées avec le CO₂ sur la réactivité des réservoirs géologiques. Utilisant des outils comme le code de transport réactif HYTEC, il combine approches expérimentales et simulations numériques pour évaluer les mécanismes de dissolution, précipitation et altération minérale à différentes échelles de temps et d’espace. Ses contributions incluent également le développement de modèles thermodynamiques pour les systèmes eau-gaz-sels, essentiels pour prédire le comportement des fluides en conditions de stockage profond.
