This page gathers all the practical information to organize your visit to the Mineralogy Museum of the Paris School of Mines, notably for those with certain accessibility needs.
Accessing the museum
For wheelchair access or those with certain mobility needs, the museum is accessible by elevator. Upon arrival at the school’s reception, please use the intercom to request wheelchair access. A staff member will then meet you at the entrance.
Accessible parking spaces
The nearest public accessible parking spaces are located at:
- 1 Impasse Royer-Collard
- 3 Rue Le Goff
- Free entry for :
- People with a mobility inclusion card (formerly PMR card) and one accompanying guest
Visiting the museum
The Museum has elevator access: upon arrival at the School’s reception, please use the intercom to request accessible access. A staff member will meet you at the entrance.
Visitors with reduced mobility: Most walkways are accessible, but some may be narrow for wheelchair users (see map below). A wheelchair is available for free of charge on request from the museum receptionist.
Visitors with hearing impairments: The Museum has a hearing loop for hearing aid users at the Museum reception.
Visitors with visual impairments: Magnifying glasses are available upon request at the Museum reception.
In accordance with the law, guide dogs for the blind and assistance dogs are permitted in the exhibition spaces at no extra charge.
