On January 5th in Paris, ISIGE – MINES Paris – PSL had the pleasure of welcoming the 21 students of the 18th cohort of the EEDD EnvIM programme for an intensive integration week fully dedicated to today’s major environmental and sustainability challenges.

The programme officially began with an inaugural lecture on planetary boundaries, offering students a strong scientific foundation and setting the tone for the months ahead. This first week marked the starting point of an academic journey focused on understanding the complex interactions between environmental, social and economic systems, and on developing concrete solutions for a more sustainable world.

This new cohort brings together 11 nationalities, reflecting the international dimension of the programme and the diversity of perspectives essential to addressing global environmental issues. Among them, 12 students are joining through work-study contracts, strengthening the link between academic learning and professional practice, and enabling them to bring real-world challenges directly into the classroom.

Highly motivated, curious and committed, this new group is now ready to engage in a demanding academic programme combining courses, applied projects and collaborations with professionals. Throughout the year, students will work on concrete pedagogical projects designed in close connection with the realities of organisations and territories.

ISIGE warmly welcomes the Promo 18 and wishes them every success in this exciting collective adventure towards building a greener, fairer and more resilient future.
