Appointment: Olivier Andriès, President of the Board of Directors

In a decree dated September 5, 2024, the French President appointed Olivier Andriès President of the Board of Directors of the École nationale supérieure des Mines de Paris. He succeeds Jacques Aschenbroich, who has held this position since 2012, and Sophie Rémont, who has been acting Chairman since February. The entire École extends its sincere thanks to them.

 

Since 2021, Olivier Andriès has been Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Safran group, which he joined in 2008. Since 1995, he has held a number of positions in the aerospace sector, with the Lagardère Group, Airbus and then EADS. A Corps des Mines engineer, he began his career at the French Ministry of Industry. He is a graduate of École Polytechnique (X81) and Mines Paris.


 



Olivier Andriès will bring to Mines Paris-PSL the perspective of a leading industrialist, passionate about innovation and engineering, at the head of a company that embodies French excellence on the international stage, and able to contribute to the cross-fertilization of cutting-edge scientific research and economic and industrial impact
