SIMS<\/span><\/h1>\n

SImulation des Mat\u00e9riaux et des Structures<\/span><\/h3>\n

Le p\u00f4le SIMS se concentre sur la mod\u00e9lisation num\u00e9rique des mat\u00e9riaux et des structures. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des simulations avanc\u00e9es, il est possible de pr\u00e9dire les comportements des mat\u00e9riaux sous diverses sollicitations et d’optimiser les processus de conception. L\u2019utilisation des mod\u00e8les num\u00e9riques permet de simuler des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes complexes, en int\u00e9grant des g\u00e9om\u00e9tries r\u00e9alistes et en tenant compte de la variabilit\u00e9 des mat\u00e9riaux.<\/p>\n

MEM<\/span><\/h1>\n

M\u00e9canique Exp\u00e9rimentale \u2014 Mat\u00e9riaux<\/h3>\n

Le p\u00f4le MEM se focalise sur les essais exp\u00e9rimentaux visant \u00e0 caract\u00e9riser le comportement des mat\u00e9riaux en fonction des contraintes m\u00e9caniques, thermiques et environnementales. L’approche exp\u00e9rimentale fournit des donn\u00e9es cruciales pour la validation des mod\u00e8les th\u00e9oriques et la compr\u00e9hension des m\u00e9canismes de d\u00e9formation, d’endommagement et de rupture des mat\u00e9riaux.<\/p>\n

Gen\u00e8se, \u00c9volution des Microstructures<\/h3>\n

Le p\u00f4le GEM s’int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la microstructure des mat\u00e9riaux et \u00e0 son \u00e9volution au cours des diff\u00e9rents traitements thermom\u00e9caniques. Comprendre comment la microstructure influence les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s des mat\u00e9riaux \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9chelles permet de mieux concevoir des mat\u00e9riaux performants et durables.<\/p>\n

Avanc\u00e9es en g\u00e9nie des mat\u00e9riaux : une approche pluridisciplinaire pour des mod\u00e8les plus pr\u00e9cis<\/h2>\n

Les d\u00e9veloppements r\u00e9cents en g\u00e9nie des mat\u00e9riaux sont le fruit de l\u2019association d\u2019experts issus de disciplines vari\u00e9es : physico-chimistes, m\u00e9caniciens et num\u00e9riciens. Mod\u00e9lisation du comportement des mat\u00e9riaux<\/h3>\n

L\u2019int\u00e9gration de lois repr\u00e9sentant un large \u00e9ventail de mat\u00e9riaux (m\u00e9taux, alliages, c\u00e9ramiques, polym\u00e8res, composites, multi-mat\u00e9riaux, etc.) dans des conditions de sollicitation complexes (grandes d\u00e9formations, fluage, fatigue) permet d’optimiser le dimensionnement des composants et des structures.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Prise en compte des d\u00e9fauts et de l\u2019endommagement<\/h3>\n

La fiabilit\u00e9 des mat\u00e9riaux est au c\u0153ur de la recherche du Centre. La compr\u00e9hension et la mod\u00e9lisation des d\u00e9fauts dans les mat\u00e9riaux permettent d’am\u00e9liorer l\u2019\u00e9valuation de leur fiabilit\u00e9 et de mieux pr\u00e9dire leur dur\u00e9e de vie dans des conditions d\u2019utilisation vari\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Approche \u00ab\u00a0micro-macro\u00a0\u00bb<\/h3>\n

L\u2019ambition de l\u2019approche \u00ab micro-macro \u00bb est de d\u00e9duire les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s macroscopiques des mat\u00e9riaux (propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques ou physiques) \u00e0 partir de leurs caract\u00e9ristiques microstructurales. Cette approche permet de mieux comprendre les liens entre la microstructure des mat\u00e9riaux et leurs performances \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

M\u00e9canique de la rupture<\/h3>\n

Le Centre des Mat\u00e9riaux a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une approche locale de la m\u00e9canique de la rupture qui prend en compte les caract\u00e9ristiques microstructurales pour \u00e9valuer les processus d\u2019endommagement et de fissuration. Cette m\u00e9thode est essentielle pour pr\u00e9voir le comportement des mat\u00e9riaux dans des situations extr\u00eames, notamment dans les environnements industriels s\u00e9v\u00e8res.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

L\u2019utilisation des supercalculateurs pour des mod\u00e8les pr\u00e9cis<\/h2>\n

L\u2019am\u00e9lioration des performances des ordinateurs permet d\u00e9sormais de traiter des probl\u00e8mes industriels complexes. Les mod\u00e8les num\u00e9riques peuvent d\u00e9sormais int\u00e9grer des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s g\u00e9om\u00e9triques plus fines, une meilleure repr\u00e9sentation du mat\u00e9riau et la variabilit\u00e9 des sollicitations m\u00e9caniques et thermiques. Cela permet de traiter des cas de plus en plus proches des conditions r\u00e9elles rencontr\u00e9es dans l’industrie.<\/p>\n
