Pierre-Noël Giraud
Emeritus Professor of Economics, Mines Paris – PSL Associate Professor of economics at Mohammed 6 Polytechnic University, Morocco

Pierre-Noël GIRAUD, born in 1949, is graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole des Mines and the University of Sorbonne. He is now emeritus professor of economics at Mines Paris PSL, and associate professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Morocco, where he chairs the “Industrial Economic of Emerging Africa” Lab.
He is member of the French Academy of Technologies. His research work has first dealt with the economics of commodities, in particular energy, and environmental economics. For more than thirty years, he has also worked on the globalisation of firms and its macroeconomic and political consequences, as well as on emerging Africa.
