Partnership

CBIO Mines Paris – PSL embodies impact-driven bioinformatics research at the intersection of biology, medicine, and artificial intelligence. It develops algorithmic approaches to address health issues, drawing on strong collaborative ties with academia and industry.
Located at the heart of the Mines Paris – PSL campus in Paris, CBIO benefits from a stimulating scientific environment, interacting with the School’s other research centers and PSL structures.

Research for innovative healthcare

The CBIO designs machine learning methods tailored to the analysis of complex biological data obtained from sequencing, imaging, and clinical trials. This work contributes to both our understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of life and the development of concrete solutions in precision medicine.

academic and industrial collaborations

A network of collaborations promoting innovation

The CBIO relies on a structured network of collaborations with academic, industrial, and institutional partners in France and abroad. These synergies enable the combination of fundamental research and technology transfer, with the aim of developing innovative solutions in bioinformatics and precision medicine.

The terms of collaboration are tailored to each project and cover a wide range of interactions:

Industrial collaborations

Development of joint projects with companies, focusing on specific issues in health, AI, and biological data processing.

Direct partnerships

Bilateral cooperation established to meet specific needs in research, development, or innovation.

Funded research projects

Participation in national or European calls for proposals (ANR, Horizon Europe, etc.), in consortium or coordination.

Endowed chairs

Support from an industrial partner for a key scientific topic, with a long-term commitment.

Consortiums

Involvement in multi-stakeholder collaborative networks, enabling the sharing of resources, data, and expertise on a large scale.

Services

Conducting research, analysis, or algorithmic modeling work in response to a specific request.

Joint laboratories

Establishment of joint structures for deeper partnerships, with integrated teams and jointly developed projects.

CIFRE theses

Hosting PhD students funded by companies to conduct research at the interface between academia and industry.

Mines Paris – PSL and CBIO are pooling their scientific expertise and knowledge of ecosystems to structure high-impact projects tailored to the needs of companies, start-ups, and public institutions.

Partners benefit from concrete levers to:

  • Accelerate the development of products or services
  • Strengthen their teams by integrating specialized profiles (CIFRE theses, post-docs, engineers)
  • Explore new markets through scientific innovation
  • Increase their visibility and collaboration networks
  • Access funding and research support mechanisms
  • Initiate initiatives with a strong societal and technological impact
